One Week Online National Level FDP on "Analytical Tools"
Research Centre of KLS IMER successfully organised One Week Online National Level Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Analytical Tools" between12th to 17th December, 2022. This one-week online FDP intended to help faculty members and research scholars become acquainted with the powerful quantitative analytical tools like Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and 'R' from the comfort of their workplace. Resource person Dr. Bharati Motwani, Associate Professor, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai took sessions on the most coveted coding skill i.e., ‘R Language for Data Science’ required by the institutes and industry at large. Dr. Rupesh Kumar Sinha, Associate Professor, CMS Business School, Bangalore engaged sessions on Excel Bootcamp & Analytics using Tableau which is a very powerful data visualization tool. Over 30 participants across India including faculties, research scholars and academicians, hailing from cities like Pune, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Pune and across Karnataka state registered and availed great learning experience. Participants were exposed to real-time hands-on exercise on analytical tool software’s like ‘R’, ‘MS Excel’ and ‘Tableau’. Dr. Mahantesh Kuri, Professor from Rani Channamma University, Belagavi was the chief guest who highlighted the importance of analytical tools for conducting research and hailed the institutes efforts in conducting such FDPs for the benefit of all during the inaugural function. Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER, gave the presidential remarks and graced the FDP with his presence and support. Dr. Ajay Jamnani, FDP Co-ordinator, Associate Professor KLS IMER, organised the FDP and praised the student coordinators for their outstanding efforts in its execution.
