KLS IMER ALUMNI MEET BENGALURU 2025 held on 18 th January 2025

KLS IMER Alumni Association organized KLS IMER ALUMNI MEET BENGALURU 2025 “Reconnect, Reflect & Contribute” on 18th January 2025. The meet was held at The Kanishka Grand Hotel, Gandhi Nagar, Bengaluru. 110 Alumni right from the first batch of 1993 attended the Alumni meet.

Shri. R. S. Mutalik, Chairman, Governing Council, KLS IMER, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER presented the achievements and progress of the institute highlighting the developments and improvements at KLS IMER, he thanked the alumni for attending the Alumni Meet in large numbers and invited ideas from them for the development of the Institute and alumni institute interaction. Shri. Pradeep Sawkar, Chairman, Board of Management, Karnataka Law Society presided over the function and expressed his happiness about the growth of the alumni of IMER. Shri. Atul Alur, member KLS Board of Management and Shri. Ashok Kulkarni, Member, KLS IMER, Governing Council graced the occasion. Mr. Rahul Mailcontractor, Secretary, KLS IMER Alumni Association and coordinator of the Alumni Meet presented the vote of thanks and urged the Alumni to stay connected to the Institute and contribute voluntarily in the growth of the Institue.

Senior alumni, Mr. Narasimha Hegde, Mr. Somu Goudar, Mr. Umesh Belludi, Mr. Rajendrasingh Byali, Mr. Dayanand Kalal, Mr. Pawan Kulkarni, Ms. Sheetal Joshi, Mr. Jaiteerth Joshi, Ms. Sampada Prabhu, Mr. Roshan Worth, Mr Sharanabasav, Ms. Preeti Honnamane, Mr Viraj Nilajkar and others spoke at the Alumni meet.

Some of the suggestions made by the alumni were as follows:

1. Focus on Research projects by Students
2. Introducing specialization in Project Management
3. Introducing subjects like Cyber Security
4. Directory of Alumni to be created to keep Alumni connected
5. Mentoring of students by Alumni
6. Courses on character building
7. Close look at the curriculum so as to make the student Industry ready
8. Alumni Interaction session for the students of the Institute
9. Frequent alumni meets
10. Projects/Assignments to bridge the gap between concepts and practice

The Alumni appreciated the organizing committee for organizing the Alumni meet and efforts taken by the Management and Director for the same. The formal interaction was followed by networking, team building activities and dinner.
