Students and staff members of KLS’ IMER Belagavi celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July,2023 to pay homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil war in 1999.

On this day on 26th July 1999, the Kargil War, also known as the Kargil Confict, formally ended, with Indian soldiers successfully recapturing mountain heights from Pakistan.

Begin with the Program, a minute of silence was observed to pay homage to the sons of the soil for their ultimate sacrifice in the Kargil War. Power Point Presentation of the 'Tiger Hill' & Video on “Contribution of IAF & Israel Country in Kargil War” was shown. The program was coordinated by Librarian Sunil Kulkarni and Assistant Librarian Amol Naik, and Dr. Arif Shaik, Director of KLS IMER, presided over it. The assembly culminated with the National anthem.
