One Day Online FDP on Detection of Fake/Clone/Predatory Journals
Research Centre of KLS IMER hosted a one-of-a-kind Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Detection of Fake/Clone/Predatory Journals" on 29th July 2022. Dr. Sumit Narula, Deputy Dean, Research and Publication, Amity University, Gwalior who is a prominent personality in this field was the resource person for the session. Several faculties, research scholars and academicians across India, hailing from cities like Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Belagavi etc. attended the session. The session provided valuable insights about the different ways to detect fake/clone and predatory journals and also created awareness about how to choose a valid journal for research publications. Participants were exposed to a real-time review of their research papers in journals that had been cloned by publishers and editors. Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director of KLS IMER, graced the FDP with his presence and support. Dr. Ajay Jamnani, FDP Co-ordinator, Associate Professor KLS IMER, organised the FDP and praised the student coordinators for their outstanding efforts in its execution.
