Management students of KLS IMER visited Dana Fairfield Atlas Ltd, Shinoli on 23rd January, 2020 to understand the export procedure and its documentation. Dana Fairfield India started its operations in year 2019 by overtaking the Atlas Gears Private Limited and is specialized in machining gears, ring gears, heat treating, shafts, painting, live testing, tool room and planetary assemblies. Mr. Nikhil Patil, HR Manager - Strategy, guided us through the overview of the firm.Students were mainly benefited from detailed understanding of export procedure and export documentation carried out at Dana through their Export Oriented Unit (EOU). It provided valuable insights on the Importance of Certificate of Origin, EPC (Export Promotion Council), ECGC (Export Credit Guarantee Corporation), IEC number (Import Export Code) and its issuance from DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade).Dana Fairfield believes Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) plays a crucial role and exhibits great concern for its employees and society as large. Students had the opportunity to visit their Export Oriented Unit and had great experiential learning.
