Wellness 360 Series – Our Journey towards Holistic Health
As part of the Wellness 360 Series – Our Journey towards Holistic Health, the Centre for Ethics & Social Responsibility, KLS IMER (Autonomous), in collaboration with Aarogya Mitra Foundation, Belagavi, organized an insightful session on “Diet and Lifestyle” on 26 December 2025.
The resource person, Dr. Harpreet Kour, Holistic Health Consultant, Samagra Wellness Clinic, Belagavi, elaborated on the six pillars of a healthy life—balanced nutrition, regular exercise, adequate sleep, avoidance of substance abuse, effective stress management, and social connectedness. The session underscored the significance of inclusive nutrition encompassing carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals, along with sustainable lifestyle choices for long-term well- being. Dr. Varsha Sathe was also present during the session.
Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER, gave introductory remarks and emphasized the importance of holistic well-being in academic and professional life and highlighted the institute’s commitment to nurturing a healthy, value-driven campus culture through such initiatives.
The program, coordinated by Dr. Shailaja Hiremath, formed part of an IQAC initiative aimed at promoting holistic wellness among students and faculty. Ms. Deepa Khatawakar, Mr. Rohit Patil and Ms. Annie Lobo volunteered in organising the session.
