The Green Club of KLS IMER, in collaboration with the Forest Department, Government of Karnataka, successfully organized a Tree Plantation Drive within the IMER campus on 10th July 2025.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff, reflecting the institute’s commitment to eco-friendly initiatives. Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director of KLS IMER, welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of such green efforts.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Saiyadsab Nadaf, Range Forest Officer, Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary, addressed the audience and highlighted the significance of the green revolution. He spoke about the role of trees in reducing carbon dioxide and explained the importance of planting various tree species to combat climate change.

Mr. Prathamesh Kulkarni, student of KLS GIT, also took part in the drive and shared his valuable knowledge on plant propagation techniques and methods of nurturing saplings for better survival.

Shri R.S. Mutalik, Chairman, Governing Council, KLS IMER, presided over the function and shared his insightful presidential remarks on sustainable living and community responsibility.

The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. George Rodrigues, with support from student coordinators Miss Supriya and Miss Hifza.
