The Summer Internship Program Competition (SIP) was successfully held at KLS IMER, initiated under the guidance of Dr. Arif Shaikh and brought to fruition by Mrs. Savitha Kulkarni on 08.03.2025 . This event provided a platform for students to present their research, industry insights, and practical learning experiences gained during their internships. A significant highlight was the announcement that selected research papers would be published in TATVA- The Journal of Management Scholars the institute’s in-house journal, ensuring a wider reach for innovative ideas.

The competition was judged by distinguished industry professionals:

Finance Round

Finance Judge: Ms. Priyanka B. Kulkarni, a seasoned banking professional with a decade of experience. She completed her education at St. Xavier’s, Lingaraj College, and IMER (2013) and has worked with Karnataka Vikas Grameen Bank since 2015, bringing expertise in banking operations.

Marketing Round

Marketing Judge: Mr. Shreenidhi, an MBA graduate from IMER, started his career with Asian Paints, gaining extensive experience in retail and project roles. He later worked as a Senior Manager at Tata Motors before rejoining Asian Paints and currently serves as a Depot Manager at Berger Paints, overseeing operations across five districts.

Human Resource Management round

HR Judge: Mr. Anthony Menezes, an HR professional with over 12.5 years of experience in the Services, Hospitality, Manufacturing, and Engineering sectors. An IMER alumnus (MBA in HR, 2012), he specializes in Training & Development at The Allied Founders Pvt. Ltd., focusing on workforce skill enhancement and HR best practices.

This competition successfully bridged academic knowledge with real-world business challenges, thanks to the guidance of esteemed faculty and industry experts. The event concluded on a high note, with participants gaining valuable insights and practical exposure along with Prize distribution.
