An Alumni Interaction Session was conducted by Mr. Prashant Mhaiskar, founder of Petal Theory LLP, a specialty chemicals provider for leading cosmetic brands, Ex Senior Manager, Cognizant Technology Solutions India from 2008-10 batch on 3 rd January 2026 at KLS IMER. The topic of the session was “Essential Real-World Skills” in HR, Marketing and Finance.
Mr. Prashant Mhaiskar is a Learning and Development specialist with over 15 years of experience in leading MNCs (Ex Senior Manager, Cognizant Technology), including a pivotal tenure in a capital market advisory firm where he has mentored a vast community of independent traders, transforming the daunting complexity of options into a clear, structured framework for success. He is now applying his strategic vision to the world of entrepreneurship and is the founder of Petal Theory LLP, a specialty chemicals provider for leading cosmetic brands, and now has taken a strategic pivot towards launching his own cosmetics brand. He remains a dedicated educator, committed to empowering learners find their edge in a volatile world.
8Mr. Prashant emphasized that professionals in HR, Finance, and Marketing need a strong blend of technical knowledge and practical, real-world skills to perform effectively. HR professionals must excel in communication, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, talent assessment, and labor law compliance to manage people and organizational culture. Finance professionals require analytical thinking, financial modeling, risk assessment, regulatory awareness, and decision-making skills to interpret data and support strategic planning. Marketing professionals need creativity combined with data literacy, consumer behavior understanding, digital marketing skills, brand management, and persuasive communication to drive market growth. Across all three roles, critical thinking, adaptability, ethical judgment, teamwork, and technology proficiency are essential to succeed in today’s dynamic business environment. The session was highly interactive with students asking and clearing their doubts on various roles.
