KLS' IMER, in collaboration with the Forest Department Government of Karnataka, Belagavi Division, organized a significant tree plantation drive in its campus on August 8, 2024. This initiative aimed to environmental conservation and enhance the green cover.

Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director of KLS IMER, welcomed the attendees and emphasized on the planting trees. He proposed the establishment of a Green Club in campus and importance of green environment for future generations.

Mr. Nagaraj Balehosur, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Belagavi, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, Mr. Nagaraj highlighted the Forest Department's various schemes and projects dedicated to fostering a healthier, cleaner, and greener environment. He emphasized the crucial need to conserve green spaces for future generations.

Shri R.S. Mutalik, Chairman of the KLS IMER Governing Council, delivered the Presidential remarks, elaborating on how Green environment contribute significantly to national development.

Dr. George Rodrigues coordinated the event, with student volunteers Miss Nandini and Miss Anushka playing a key role in its execution.
