Student of KLS IMER underwent National Industry Tour. The tour covered key locations in Gujarat and Rajasthan, combining industrial visits with cultural exploration. The tour commenced at Ekta Nagar with a visit to the Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world, built in honour of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The visit highlighted the statue’s significance as a symbol of national unity and its role in promoting regional tourism and economic development.

Next, students visited the AMUL milk processing plant in Anand, where they learned about the cooperative's role in India’s White Revolution. The plant visit provided valuable insights into dairy supply chain management, operations, and the cooperative’s impact on rural livelihoods. In Ahmedabad, students explored Sabarmati Ashram, reflecting on Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of non-violence, and visited the Sabarmati Riverfront, which demonstrated modern urban planning and environmental management.

The final stop was Udaipur, where we admired the City Palace and man-made lakes such as Lake Pichola, learning about the city's architectural heritage and innovative water management techniques. Overall, the tour was an enriching educational experience, blending industrial knowledge with cultural history, offering valuable lessons on India’s development and heritage. Prof. Sumanth P Desai and Dr. Shailaja Hiremath coordinated the national tour.
