Karnataka Law Society’s Institute of Management Education and Research (KLS IMER), a premier B-school in North Karnataka, is delighted to announce that a student research project titled “Sustainable Agricultural Practices and Food Security in the Face of Climate Change” has been selected for sponsorship under the 48th Series of the Student Project Programme (SPP) by the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), Bengaluru.

This impactful project aims to study and promote sustainable agricultural practices among farmers in the Belagavi region, with a focus on enhancing food security amidst the growing challenges posed by climate change. The project will be executed over the next two months and will involve in-depth field research, including surveys with farmers across Bailhongal taluk, Kudachi, and Chikkodi.

The project will be led by Dr. Ajay Jamnani, SPP Co-coordinator and Associate Professor at KLS IMER. On this proud occasion, Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director of KLS IMER, and Shri R.S. Mutalik, Chairman-GC, KLS IMER, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the student research team and faculty mentor. They highlighted that such research initiatives reflect the institute’s core commitment to addressing real-world challenges through academic excellence and community-centered engagement.
