An Investor Awareness Program on Commodities Market was conducted on by Mr. Pratyush Bhaskar, NISM Certified SEBI SMART Financial Trainer on 27 th November 2025 at KLS IMER. Mr. Pratyush Bhaskar, is a seasoned Business Broadcast Journalist and an NISM Certified SEBI SMART Financial Trainer with over two decades of experience in financial journalism. He has created content for leading media houses such as Zee Business, DD News, and TV9, covering financial markets, company listings, SEBI rulings, and banking policies.

The Investor Awareness Program aimed to educate participants about the structure, functioning, and opportunities within India’s commodity derivatives market while promoting responsible and informed investing. The program covered key topics such as the role of commodity exchanges, types of commodity contracts, risk management strategies, regulatory safeguards by SEBI, and common misconceptions or risks associated with speculative trading. Through practical examples and real-world case discussions, students gained clarity on price discovery, hedging mechanisms, and ethical trading practices. By enhancing financial literacy and awareness, the initiative empowers investors, students, and aspiring traders to make well- informed decisions, avoid fraudulent schemes, and participate confidently and responsibly in the commodities market ecosystem. The session was coordinated by Mr. Rahul Mailcontractor under the guidance and leadership of Dr. Arif Shaikh, director, KLS IMER.
