One Week online AICTE sponsored FDP on “Innovating Agritech for a Sustainable Tomorrow: Aligning with SDG Goals”.
The Karnataka Law Society’s Institute of Management Education & Research (KLS IMER), an autonomous institution under Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, successfully inaugurated the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy-sponsored one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Innovating Agritech for a Sustainable Tomorrow: Aligning with SDG Goals” Belagavi, 2nd December 2024
The FDP witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries, educators, and participants from across the country. The program aimed to explore innovative technologies in agritech that align with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, fostering sustainable practices and advancements in agriculture.
The inaugural function commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Praveen Kulkarni, Professor at KLS IMER and program coordinator. Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director and Professor at KLS IMER, followed with an insightful overview of the program, emphasizing its alignment with sustainable development and agritech innovation.
The Chief Guest, Mr. C M Patil, CEO of Krishikalpa Foundation, delivered the keynote address, sharing his expertise on the role of agritech in transforming agriculture for a sustainable future. His words inspired the attendees and set the tone for the week-long sessions.
The presidential remarks were delivered by Shri R. S. Mutalik, Chairman of the Governing Council, KLS IMER, who emphasized the institution's commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability in education.
Dr. Ajay Jamnani, Associate Professor and Program Co-Coordinator, concluded the session with a heartfelt vote of thanks. He extended gratitude to the AICTE ATAL Academy for their support.
The inaugural function was well-attended and appreciated for its focus on sustainable innovation. The FDP will continue until 7th December 2024, with sessions covering cutting-edge topics in agritech and sustainability.
