The Inauguration Ceremony of the KLS IMER Chess Tournament 2025 was held at the KLS IMER Campus on 25th March 2025, bringing together participants from various regions such as Belagavi, Kolhapur, Bengaluru, Nippani, Davangere, Shimoga, Bagalkot, and even two students from the Malaysian Chess Federation. A total of 133 students competed in both the Inter-School and Open Age categories.

Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director of KLS IMER, officially inaugurated the event of the exciting competition. He was accompanied by Dr. George Rodrigues Physical Education Director of KLS IMER, and Chess Arbiters Mr. Girish Bachikar and Mr. Aakash Madiwalar, who contributed their expertise to ensure the tournament's smooth and fair conduct.

The event was coordinated by student volunteers Miss Aishwarya Kolekar, Miss Sakshi Shah, and Mr. Abhish Shetty ensuring the smooth operation of the tournament.
