3rd Semester Students Visit Bhimghad Wildlife Sanctuary for Environmental Awareness with Forest Department, Belagavi, Govt. of Karnataka

KLS IMER MBA 3rd semester students visited the Bhimghad Wildlife Sanctuary in Khanapur as part of an environmental awareness initiative, organized in collaboration with the Forest Department of the Government of Karnataka. The objective of the tour was to provide students with experience of forest life while raising awareness about wildlife conservation.
The students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Saiyadsab Nadaf, the Range Forest Officer (RFO), who shared his extensive knowledge of the diverse ecosystem of the Bhimghad sanctuary. Mr. Nadaf elaborated on the various species of wild animals, trees, and plants that inhabit the Khanapur jungle. He also emphasized the important role of the forest staff in maintaining the ecological balance and safeguarding wildlife. Following the session, the students embarked on a trek through the forest area, where they observed pug marks of wild animals and encountered different types of trees.
The visit was organized under the leadership and guidance of Shri R.S. Mutalik, Chairman GC, and Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director of KLS IMER. The tour was led by Dr. George Rodrigues, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Savitha Kulkarni and Asst. Prof. Rashmi Harti, who guided the students throughout the tour and helped facilitate a deeper understanding of forest conservation.
