Entrepreneurial journey of Shri. Sanjeev S. Deshpande, Director of Kwality Animal Feeds Pvt. Ltd., Belagavi.

Karnataka Law Society’s Institute of Management Education and Research (KLS IMER), Autonomous, Belagavi celebrated ‘Foundation Day’ on September 28 th , 2024 to mark its 34th year of inception. The day is chosen to commemorate the birth anniversary of KLS patron Late Shri Rao Saheb B. M Gogte.

Traditionally, this flagship event is held on September 16th each year to commemorate the birth anniversary of KLS's esteemed patron, Late Shri. Rao Saheb B. M. Gogte. However, this year, due to unforeseen circumstances, it was celebrated on 28 th September, 2024.

As part of the annual convention, KLS IMER recognizes and felicitates an eminent entrepreneur from the Belagavi region. This year, Shri. Sanjeev S. Deshpande, Director of Kwality Animal Feeds Pvt. Ltd., Belagavi, was honored as the “Entrepreneur of the Year 2024” for his outstanding contributions to the local business ecosystem. Video Profile Presentation of Shri. Ajit V Lokur has become a leading name in the production of high-quality animal feed products. With a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and nutrition, the company has played a crucial role in supporting the region's agricultural and dairy sectors.

Shri. Sanjeev Deshpande in his acceptance speech emphasised on the steller growth of the poultry business. He shared strong bonding and support of MD Shri. Ajit V Lokur in the thick & thin Journey of Kwality animal feed.

Dr. Rajendra Nargundkar, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Prestige University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, was the Chief Guest for the event. A distinguished academician with vast experience spanning across reputed institutes such as IIMs and various management schools and known for his innovative teaching methods and research, he has contributed significantly to shaping the future of management education in India, making him a respected leader in academia.

In his keynote address he mentioned the changing landscape of management education. He encouraged faculties to take up case writing, publishing books, writing articles in journals of repute, etc.

Shri. Anant Mandagi, President, KLS, Belagavi presided over the function. In his presidential remarks he immensely acknowledged the contribution of Shri. Sanjeev S Deshpande and he urged everyone to dream big and follow his footsteps and contribute in building brand Belagavi.

Shri. R. S. Mutalik Chairman-GC, KLS IMER in his welcome address expressed his deepest gratitude to KLS patron Shri. Rao Saheb B. M Gogte at the behest of KLS Management and staff.

Shri Pradeep Sawkar, Chairman, KLS; Shri Vivek G Kulkarni, and Shri S. V. Ganachari, Secretaries, KLS, were the guest of honours. Board members of KLS were present during the occasion and offered floral tributes to Late Shri Rao Saheb B. M Gogte.

Dr Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER welcomed all dignitaries by presenting flower and mementoes.

Prof. Sumanth Desai, KLS IMER proposed the vote of thanks. The students compeered and Dr. Shailaja Hiremath read out the citation.
